The place was obtained from a stable with a colonnade and large yard, dated 1801. Internally accurately cared in style, with Venetian flooring on the ground floor, and wood in the two superior rooms : the pink room with 20 seating and the confraternity room with a chimney and an oval table with 15 seating.
The kitchen is visible through a glass door, with a large chimney where the various flavoured skewers are cooked.

The “bacalà alla vicentina” (codfish) is the more famous dish of The Antica Trattoria Due Spade


Inaugurated on the 6th September 1992, it is the continue of the fourth generation of the Pozzan family , with Giovanni at the stove, and the children that promise to keep it up for the fifth generation.

The wife, Mrs. Patrizia, is the first woman maître of the region Veneto.

Various are the television programs where the patron chef Giovanni has participated : Linea Verde and Verdemattina, to cite some. In May 1998, he wins the 14th National Gastronomy Golden Asparagus award at Altedo (Bologna), with the recipe : "Risotto al bacalà con verdi altedesi" combined with the wine "Vespaiolo Breganze Villa Savardo 97".

The Chief Giovanni in novembre 2002 won the  first prize of “Master of Cuisine”.

Giovanni  goes to teach in regional schools to the young cookers how to do an optimal baccalà dish.

The Club " Ente Vicentini in the World" ,of Lione , Ginevra , Basilea , every year during the party for emigrants of Vicenza , orders to Antica Trattoria Due Spade , more than 200 portions of baccalà , with "polenta" and wine.
